Ceska pojistovna received the highest rating possible for the czech insurer
Prague (27 January 2009) – The International Rating Agency Standard & Poor´s (S&P) raised rating on Ceska pojistovna a.s. to ´A+´ from ´A´ with a stable outlook. CP thus received the highest rating which is possible to achieve in the Czech Republic. The Czech Republic itself received the same rating score.

„In times of uncertainty in financial markets it is good news for our clients. It confirms that Ceska pojistovna represents certainty and stable partnership,“ CP CEO Ivan Vodička said. The rating upgrade reflects S&P´s view that CP has a strong position in the Czech market and has succeeded in quick implementation of Generali PPF Holding structure. S&P´s report also mentions that the impact of global financial crisis on the Czech Republic seems to be less dramatic than on other countries.

Ceska pojistovna is the only insurance company in the Czech Republic to have an interactive rating done by two major international rating agencies. Besides S&P´s rating evaluation, CP received A3 financial strength rating and credit rating with stable outlook assigned by Moody´s.
